One of the ways Yaskawa contribute in knowledge sharing and skill-up program is by collaborating with its business associates to establish Centre of Excellence in Robotics at various engineering Institutions in India and neighbouring countries.
On 16th April’19, Yaskawa India in collaboration with Fronius India Private Limited set up Robotic Welding Training Centre at Little Flower Engineering Institute, Ernakulam (Kerala). This institute has automotive, electrical and mechanical labs for training students with real-world knowledge.
With a determination to support the institute in upskilling the students, Yaskawa and Fronius India installed Robotic Welding Training Centre which was inaugurated by the chief guests Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, Arch Bishop of Verapoly; Shri Ebrahim Kunju, MLA-Kerala and Shri Madhu S. Nair, CMD CSL.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by other key people of the region as well, amongst them Mr. S.D. Lahiri, Deputy Director General- Training and Examination Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Govt. of India; Dr. F. Joseph Stanley, ED & General Secretary – SKIP Bangalore; Mr. Savio Mathew, Head – FICCI Kerala and Mr. Geno George, Associate Director were present.
Mr. V.V. Kamath, Managing Director – Fronius India Pvt Ltd. and Mr. R. Rajesh, AGM Sales (South Region) – Yaskawa India Robotics Division thanked the dignitaries and the audience to be present during the opening of Training Centre. They mentioned that this being a Robotic Welding Training Center would help students to have hands-on training on Yaskawa AR1440 Welding Robot and Fronius state-of-the-art welding power source TPS 500 I CMT with in-depth technical proficiency and would make study easier than the traditional teaching methods. This will in turn open up opportunities for students to shape up their career in manufacturing and robotic field.
Yaskawa and its global welding partner “Fronius India”, have worked together towards developing extraordinary breakthrough in the world of robotic welding. Thereby, together they are always concentrating on developing skills in people and opening this Training Centre at Little Flower Industrial Institute is a step towards safeguarding the future of students by giving them in-house real time technological exposure .
